Get Active

Dr. Alveda C. King, American politician, author, activist, niece of the civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr., Senior Fellow at the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution, former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, founder of King for America, and Pastoral Associate and Coordinator of the African American Outreach of Priests for Life, challenged pro-life voters, especially those who voted for Obama:

"To everyone who said, 'I am pro-life, but I will vote for a pro-abortion candidate this time,' I say now is the time to prove your commitment to the unborn," said King. "March for truth and justice. Flood the White House and Congress with messages that you do not agree with the slaughter of innocent children. Stand up for 'the least of these.'"

Pray

Pray for the protection of unborn children threatened by abortion, for the well-being of women in crisis pregnancy situations, and for the victims of abortion. Please remember, that for each of the thousands of innocent babies killed by abortion every day, there is a woman subjected to the physical and psychological trauma of this horrific procedure — pray for her physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Pray for our elected representatives and appointed officials in positions where they are constantly facing pressure to rationalize and compromise on issues of principal where life is concerned. Pray that they will be moved to take a firm stand for truth and justice on all issues related to the sanctity of life.

Stay Informed

Now that you better understand the situation, take the time to read, watch, learn more, and be aware of national and international developments regarding this matter, so that you will be better prepared to fight for an end to this Holocaust of Our Unborn Children. A good place to start is Americans United for Life (AUL), the USA's oldest national pro-life organization. Incorporated in August, 1971 in Washington, D.C., AUL was founded by a group of activists who wanted to educate Americans about abortion from a non-denominational, interdisciplinary perspective.
